Our 4th days should be a time of joy, excitement & power regardless of the circumstances in our life.  James tells us in Chaper 1:2-4, “consider it pure joy WHEN you face trials of many kinds because you know the testing of your faith develops perseverance, perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete…”

One way to help us live out this truth is through being Consistent.  A definition of consistent is marked by harmony, or steady continuity; free from variation or contradiction; agreeing or accordant; compatible; not self-contradictory: Ex. His/Her views and actions are consistent.

Psalm 63:1-3 says “Oh God you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh longs for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.”  Even though David was being hunted down to be killed he didn’t waiver by complaining, by doubting, or by giving up. He knew who his God was and he continued to seek, thirst and long after the only One who can truly satisfy!

Brothers and Sisters, what about YOU? How consistent are you in your alone time with God?  In your prayer time?  In your bible study? In your church fellowship?  The answer to that will have everything to do with how you respond WHEN the troubles come! And they will come!  BUT when you CONSISTENTLY SEEK, THIRST, & LONG after God as if you were in the desert desperate for water, THEN no matter what comes your way, because of your consistency, you will have known the truth and the truth will set you free!  Free from the worry, from the anxiety, from the doubing, and from the complaining to walking in the abundant life Jesus has for you!

So just like Psalm 63…. May WE be CONSISTENT in our SEEKING… THIRSTING…. & LONGING for the only One who can satisfy our every need & bring us the abundant life, power, & fire we need to be VICTORIOUS IN OUR 4TH DAYS!!

May our lifestyle always consistently line up with that of Jesus Christ so that we may be a Soul on Fire for Him! Amen? Amen! Woo-Hoo!

God Loves You & So Do I!
